Can I get 12 Month Multiple Entry Visa in Manila ?

Featured Replies

I'm filling out the app from the website and it had options for the Non Immigrant and Multiple Entries. I was going to go for the 2 tourist entries but obviously a 1 year MRV would be preferable. Any one know if they are issued there? Will provide flights.

Also, the form wants a local guarantor ? I don't know any one good enough to vouch for me and obviously I don't need it. Can I write N/A?

Upon what basis would you be applying for the non immigrant visa?

I don't recall any reports of Manila doing one for any reason.

Guarantor would be "self".

Thanks.

I'm not sure the reason haha. SIAM-LEGAL seems to be able to provide 1 year visa for US citizens so I figured it was an option. I didn't know there needed to be a reason beyond extended tourism.

Ok I see. I see the tourist visa 1000B per entry on that site you sent. So will I be able to pay 2000B in Manila for 2 entries?

Site says two days processing time :( I will need hotel for that period of time.

I think you pay in pesos or USD there not baht.

I think the two days is the day you apply and the next afternoon when you pick it up.

My original plan of refundable tickets is not looking so good for some reason seems most airlines flying from Thailand have 2000B fee for any cancellations even on the most expensive tickets. My go to airline for this was Cathay but they have the fee too.

You can buy a ticket on Expedia and have cancellation in 24 hrs with no fee.

I can't seem to find that actually documented on Expedia any more but I have read it's the case. Bigger problem is that getting the visa might take more than 24 hours. If they check they might see it's cancelled.

Nevermind, just ignore my suggestion then.

I may go ahead and use this suggestion just a little worried they might try to check it before I cancel. I called Expedia and it seems to be you can cancel (on some airlines) by 11:59 PST the following day. I'll roll the dice and hope they don't check at all or at least check while it's still valid.

One more thing guys. So what exactly do I have to show?

1st Entry

1st Exit

2nd Entry <-- do they care about this one, I mean you could do a land hop instead

2nd Exit

Skip the 2nd entry.

You can buy a ticket FULL FARE on any of the big carriers and get a full refund up until the day you fly. Just book using your credit card and cancel after you get the visa.

Yes I usually do it, but like I said above, I'm having a hard time finding any airlines that fully refund flights from Thailand without any fees. Most places have a 50 to 200 dollar fee to refund, EVEN ON THE REFUNDABLE FARES.

JThai,

Singapore Airlines, United, JAL, ANA, Emirates and the list goes on.

No, sorry I tried all of those and all have a refund fee or charge of some sort even on the first class fully refundable tickets.

I understand what you are saying, I do it all the time in Manila with Cathay but these BKK originated flights just don't seem to offer it.

I have had several from Manila and, yes, I paid in pesos, not sure about $US as I dont have any.

You DO NOT pick up the next day. You must lodge the application BEFORE 12noon on day 1 and pick it up AFTER 3pm on day 3.

This is two clear working days so best to lodge Mon or Tues to be safe.

Thanks. So if they happen to check on day 2 if my flights are still valid might have some trouble (if I use the 24 hour cancellation period). I live in AC, not sure if I want to get a hotel down there or just go back and forth. 2 hour bus ride each way though.

Can you also share the requirements you had to provide ? Did you get a double entry tourist?

They are jerks at the Thai Embassy in Manila. They mostly are out at social meetings and have a minimal Filipino staff treating everyone like dirt and giving them a hard time.

I believe you can pay in baht there.

Thanks. Have you gotten a double entry TV there?

Sucks the turn around is 3 days.

If you use a travel agent they can hold a reservation for you for a few days. I do it all the time though in the States.

Just buy open end ticket Then you can either set return date as you like or use to go to another place What I did was fly cebu one way to bangkok and then bought round trip BKK to MNL BKK. about 8,000 Pecos. Last time I tried manila was no go but wanted retirement extension.

Non immigrant visas are not issued for tourism. See "3. NON-IMMIGRANT VISA" here http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/123/15398-Issuance-of-Visa.html

Hey Joe..do you know if these double entry TV's from Manila are valid for 180 days? I just read another thread about people getting doubles that are only good for 90 days.

I want to ENTER and spend 60 to 90 days and then EXIT and 60 to 85 days out of country and RE-ENTER for another 60 to 90 days.

3 month validity on a double entry won't be useful in my case. Please tell me it isn't so :)
