I see his house is called "Elope". Typical PT scummy cowards. Thaksin's was "Flee" and Chalerm's was "Run to Denmark"?

I hope he's jailed for a long time.

On the lemons again I see Cuchalain ?

I wonder whey personal part if you suffered so much under the PTP but still let you stay in Thailand?

I hope that all the land grabbers no matter their political affiliation have their assets seized and knocked down, I somehow can't see that happening with too much impartiality as the stakes are too high.

There's dodgy blokes on both sides needing charged

........whey personal part ........... What are you on about?

Oh, and try and get my name correct if it's not too much trouble, Hagis. It's not rocket science.

Stop being a fud, I'm on my mobile phone and have it set on auto correct.

Other than that better go down to the 7/11 and get some more lemons as you seem to one bitter individual!!

Don't you think the guy was merely pointing out that this guy had something to do with PTP ??? most people are bitter lemons that were here at the time PTP were SUPPOSED to be in charge.

Pity PTP wasn't on auto correct when in office thumbsup.gif

"No land title will be granted to these poor farmers, however, as this practice in the past had led to farmers selling the land to capitalists, so that many who had been granted such rights no longer have any land.

Instead, said Daophong, the granted land would be held by the village as a common property and the farms operated as cooperatives to ensure sustainability."

Some smart thinking beginning to happen. Keep it up interim Government!

Hate to break it to you, but this is not a novel idea thought up by the present government!

The cooperative village idea was actually introduced by Mr T a long time back, to prevent the rich, yellow and red, from taking advantage of the poor farmers.

If you care to read the OP, Tarit had circumvented the system by pretending to be a poor farmer.

Sadly there are no limits to the greed of the powerful !

How wrong you are, the cooperative village was introduced by His Majesty The King in the Hua Hin area, enough said.

You don't know, what you are talking about!!

I know the Royal village in Hua Hin very well, actually introduced by HM the Queen, and it is a place where very poor people can seek refuge, get a small piece of land to build a house. Whilst they are there, they are paid a salery for working on village farm. Nothing to do with landownership, since the land is not owned by the village, but by the Crown!!

So I repeat, like it or not, the villages with common landownership was introduced by Mr T for the reasons I stated in my post!!

Enough said.coffee1.gif

I'm still waiting for Thailand to show me that they can send even one bureaucrat, MP, government minister, Hi-So, or pu yai (big man) to go to prison for crimes against the whole country. Encroaching, and facilitating such, are crimes against every citizen of Thailand.

Well it sounds good and looks good on paper. But you are asking for the justice system to do a 180 degree turn around in how they prosecute and carry out judgments.

The coup has only been in power for 5 months. they haven't even been able to bring court cases against Jatuporn. It has only been recently that the Yellow shirts have been brought to court. The justice system needs a good dose of speed. Also prison sentences Delivered and carried out now not later. Also that is the justice system that they inherited. There is no reason to think that they are going to start operating faster. Not saying they are good or bad people but I am saying they are slow and I see no reason for them to change under the present system. Maybe a coup in the justice system.LOL

There is so much work to do and where to start is a big question. Hopefully they will be able to find some qualified people to run the justice system. It is way to slow. Also tied up by mickey mouse legalities that allow guilty people to go free with out being charged. I. E. Yingluck.

So they had known about this since BEFORE he became DSI chief. But were too busy to do something about it.

More likely they were paid to look the other way either with cash or promises with his future DSI position or both.

How many years was he DSI chief?

HOW MANY YEARS WERE THEY TOO BUSY TO MAKE A CASE AGAINST HIM?

These men should be charged as well for dereliction and negligence and should be investigated for corruption as well.

You have hit on some thing most people missed. That is the depth of corruption. It is easy to print any thing but not that easy to do it. With all the corruption the roots run deep and getting the top of the tree is not going to do the job. Their are people standing inline to pick up the job.

It is not going to get done over night or even in one year. The country has been building the corruption into the government for decades and it is ridicules to think it can be fixed over night.

I'm not asking for anything. I am just patiently, passively waiting. I will, most likely, still be waiting at the moment of my death for justice to be fairly served, regardless of status; here and in the U.S.

Hopefully they will be able to find some qualified people to run the justice system

The problem is there are far too few who are blameless enough to point their finger and demand equal justice; all the way down to the noodle vendors on the street. They have all paid bribes for 'special' treatment. Corruption is not part of the system, it IS the system. I expect a deal will be made and Mr. Tarit will never see the inside of a prison.

I like your hopefulness and optimism, though.
