Tom Kagai Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Hi, Could anyone please advise whether it is possible to revert my existing non-im 'B', to an 'O' at my local immigration office (Pattaya)? As far as I am aware, I can comfortably meet all the required criteria, but all of my info sources imply that it's necessary to apply from outside Thailand, thereafter obtaining 90 days, extendable to a year etc. It would be very helpful to find out whether this can be done in Pattaya Immigration and, to double-check exactly what the current requirements are. Thank you, in advance. Tom.
ubonjoe Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 You cannot change from a B visa to a O visa. You can change the reason for your extension of stay from working to one based upon marriage to a Thai. I suggest you check with immigration in Jomtien to confirm they will do it. There have been reports of them refusing to do it for other changes. The requirements are the same as before.
Tom Kagai Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 Thanks Ubonjoe. I was holding off going to Jomtien, as it's always so busy there and therefore difficult to get 'airtime' for such an enquiry.
