Having a certificate of residence date stamped at Chaeng Wattana

Featured Replies

Has anybody done this? I need to have a certificate of residence from my embassy date stamped for authenticity at the CW.

Apparently it's not the same building as where visa renewals are done.

Any advice appreciated, thanks.

You get it done at the MFA ...same road ...just a few buildings before immigration place

Ministry of Foreign Affairs ...if you go early you can pay extra for same day service...well you could last time I went.

I think that the cost is 400 baht for regular service which takes 4 days but they will mail it to you for an extra charge. There is an express service to get it done the same day but yo have to get there early as they only do so many a day and I don't know what the added cost is. Everything that I had "legalized" had to be translated into Thai first and most translation services will handle the legalization for you at a cost. I've never heard of having a residence certificate "date stamped". When I need one I get it from Immigration and it is already in Thai. Hope this helps and doesn't confuse the issue.
