Tourist visa - Extension 60 days as father of thai kid ?

My tourist visa will expire soon.

My son is Thai. He has got my family name, it is written on his birth certificate.

I have not legitimized my fatherhood yet.

Can I get a 60 days extension at Immigration Office (Chiang Mai) instead of 30 days only ?

Yes, you can. Son will have to go with you and you need his ID-card (if any) and household registration or proof of adres to confirm he lives in CM. Mother joining you will be helpful.

You can get a 60 day extension to visit your child.

They will need to go with you when you apply. You will need their birth certificate (plus a copy) and a copy of their house book,
