Neymar
when setting up a 2m baht company with work permit what type of bank account would be best to open on company name. Regular personal account or like an SME account as they call it with Kasikorn? what would be the difference between the 2 in Thailand? Also which bank is considered best. innerspace
Company account will look better and gain more trust from customers, although many do still use personal. If you want things such as credit card processing or business loans, now or in the future, get a business account. However for debit card you will be better on personal, so maybe one of each and internet banking between the 2.
Neymar
figured a SME account would be natural but lots of people who have smaller businesses seem to go for persoanl accounts? Whats the disadvantage of SME accounts if any?
innerspace
More hoops to jump through(still not hard) and cant as far as I have found get a debit card. Fees may be slightly higher but negligable. Benefits are in company name, customer trust, cleaner accounting and business specific services available.
