Does anyone know how the Land Department calculates the fee that it charges to register a 30-year lease on a parcel of land? Is it based on the total lease value or the appraised land value? How is it calculated?

As far as I remember, it is based on the total lease amount over the lease term, and is a % of that total lease amount.

I would have to check my lease documents/receipts, but I think the % was about 1%

Guessing again, I think it's 1.5% on the total amount of the lease!
