Rubber vines grow in SE Asia, also in Thailand but i can't find them.

They produce rubber but also very nice fruits like on the pics.

Who has seen one of those growing in Thailand?? And are they really nice?

I read they can taste like orange sherbert and should be great for eating out of hand.

All info is welcome.

No it is not this one, my friends in Australia said it doesn't grow there and they are fruit-experts. But there are many different variety's in the Willughbeia family.

In the wild they can totally overgrow a tree and get huge. They grow in SE Asia, Borneo has many and Africa has it's own variety's.

They are sure not all good and sweet but i 'm after the best variety's and probably that will have to come from Borneo which is fine, people are on the hunt for them there as well.

This fruit has a good potential for commercial growing but first we need the right variety. They are in Thailand but i don't know where. Fruits can be 1kg each for big ones. The problem is on Borneo they have many local names. For Africa i don't know but probably also there people use local names. This vine was also used to produce latex for rubber.
