PATTAYA: -- Pattaya Fire Rescue Units were called to the Sukhumvit Road in South Pattaya on Monday afternoon to deal with a fire at a Water Purification Store which caused an estimated 1 Million Baht in damage to the building and to stock.

The owner of the shop is Khun Maitarpon aged 29. She had gone out and left a cleaner in-charge of the store. She was at the rear of the building and noticed smoke coming from the second floor which soon spread to the third floor. At first she called the owner and then she called the Firefighters.

Maybe she should have called the fire department FIRST, and owner second.

Thai logic - self defence first

If the cleaner would have called the fire-fighters first, she may get the bill for calling them..........no........seriously............most people find it hard to take initiative; that's something with Thai culture.........until not very long ago, initiatives weren't highly appreciated.

Of the irony

Why did she call the owner 1st?

She must of thought the owner would blame her for the fire.
