Yes having come over here especially to Pattaya you almost cannot fail to meet a beautiful young Lady but unless you have kept your brains with you when going through the airport you could become another statistic.

How long are you willing to wait until you meet the right one? I am not completely sure but I think that Thai women are pretty much the same as anywhere else. There are women that would go with the first man and rip him off, like the women that youre talking of coming from rip off organizations and bargirls.

There is also women that you would have to wait a long time before you are accepted by their families, relatives etc (standard procedures) Women that just wanna be sure of the fact that they end up with the right man... "Checked by whom?" we're tempted to ask. And for what? I hope you'll let us know what sort of vetting you feel a dating agency should do and what yours does.

Meeting Thai girls from the internet is a good way to meet friends, girl friends and wives. This is 2006 so why not use todays technology to meet someone, especially if you do not live in Thailand.

There are pitfalls of course as there are with all ways of striking up relationships. But living overseas it does give you the chance to get an inkling if there will be any chemistry once you get off the plane and start to meet.

One down side as has been mentioned are the friends/facilitators/translators who can disguise the true nature of the "relationship" with fees and contracts and all other manner of slippery dealings (fees upto 100,000 baht). Actually just phoned my pops this morning and found out my cousin is getting married in June. He met her on match.com.
