Yes and the claims that only red politicians and public servants can act like this. People on both sides of the political arena are capable and actually do act in such a way. There's certainly a disproportionate amount of the former claims when compared to the latter claims. Probably a 1,000 to 1 ratio. The ratio you quoted is absolute proof. You cannot count. The court found Khanchit guilty of four charges: premeditated murder, intimidation, carrying a gun, and firing it in a public place without any sound reason. Eight shots to the head, at what range? That is outstanding marksmanship! Not if the other guys head was anywhere near the size of this guys melon. Guy has an unusually large head. Maybe the girl they were arguing over liked big headed men. Just a theory I have. But sadly in this case he allowed the small head to do the thinking!! You can be sure that if he doesn't run off to Cambodia until the statute of limitations runs out (sic) and then comes back to another glorious career as an MP....or he gets a deal. I mean they are only accused of the crime, as opposed to this fellow being convicted...so bail should be a foregone conclusion if the courts are fair, right? The case itself has no political affiliations - it was a "dispute" over a woman which Khanchit Thapsuwan decided was best resolved by murdering his "rival". However, at the time, abhisit did reveal that the police had made a request of the House Speaker seeking permission to question Thapsuwan. The "ever decisive" abhisit didn't have the guts to agree for that to happen, even though his MP had been accused of premeditated murder, and said that it was up to parliament to decide. Meanwhile the dems lawyer, MP Niphit Intharasombat argued that Thapsuwan should be allowed to remain an MP sitting in parliament with his fellow dem MP's until the court case was finalised - and that was what happened, as abhisit obviously didn't see anything wrong with having an accused (and now proven) murderer (with eyewitnesses and video evidence - despite what TeamKorn were to reiterate at the time*) as a still serving member of his political party, not even a whiff of a suspension from duties........................ Then Korn Chaticavanij got into the act of trying to make political capital out of it on the risible TeamKorn facebook page* Today, Team-Korn would like to share some interesting observations made by Komchadluek newspaper yesterday regarding Democrat MP Khanchit Thapsuwan's alleged involvement in the murder of Samut Sakhon Provincial Administration Organisation president Udon Kraiwatnussorn. - The only eyewitness testimony came from the victim's driver. - Do the police actually have enough hard evidence in linking the murder of Khun Udon to MP Khanchit Thapsuwan and the Democrat Party? At the time I remember being disgusted that he refused to surrender his pistol to police for analysis and police accepted that. If a suspect has just murdered some one with a gun, pistol don't negotiate with them to hand over the murder weapon. They point a dozen M16s at the suspect and order him to hand over the weapon or be shot dead. At least that's what would happen to anyone without wealth or connections. Pathetic.
