Multiple entry 1year O visa We're best in region to get

Featured Replies

What country gives an O visa based on marriage in this region with out to much hassle or tea money.

I usually get mine in Canada very easy to get there I just show my marriage papers and pay the fee of 180cdn in and out in 15 min in Canada

In this region what would be the best country or country's to avoid

Savannakhet Laos is the best location to get the visa. They ask for no financial proof and at the moment do the visa on the same day you apply. The fee will be 5000 baht.

After that Penang Malaysia with 400k baht in the bank.

Anywhere else nearby is a no or a big maybe.

... in this region with out to [sic] much hassle or tea money.

I usually get mine in Canada ...

Why "usually" get a visa at all? If you're married to a Thai and spending time in country why not get an extension of stay? That would probably end up being even less hassle or tea money than in Canada and require far less travel time ... assuming, like most people, you would not actually travel to Canada by choice?

I got mine from the Thai embassy in Singapore in less than 24 hours from the time it was submitted. I am a Singapore Permanent Resident, which means that I have already been subject to a very strict and thorough vetting by the Singapore government, and the Thai embassy here demanded copies of my Singapore ID card and reentry permit as part of the visa requirements, even though this is not mentioned on the website.

I was surprised at the speed and efficiency.

Actually I never payed tea money in Canada and usually in and out of the embassy in about 20 minutes with no hastle or bank statement and always get a 1 year open at 180 cdn

Was asking the question because in the future I hope not to have to travel back to Canada to get a O visa with no hastle

"Tea money" doesn't buy a visa at Thai embassies and consulates. They have they requirements and these stand.
