Thailand Delays Automated Entry System for Foreign Tourists
I (Brit) got through immigration in under 5 mins back in June, not sure how much faster they think they can make it. Visa on arrival, no fast track or anything - it was my first time in a couple of years, kind of hoped it was the new normal. Of course it took 5 hours to get my visa bumped another 30 days, so you can't win them all. -

Applying for a DTV (soft power) with Thai language classes possible?
Not in the initial price/package - I agree. But next Feb, when people start border-bouncing or extending their DTVs? I would be surprised if something not put on the table by agents for that step, by land and/or air. One option is likely the van-runs operating now to Cambodia, which have a different cost for VEs vs Non-O-ME customers. Will see what the DTV-bounce cost is. -

Again it's not the point I addressed. Maybe I was not so clear. It was not about international policies and relations at the state level, it was about people. My point was about behaviour and mindset (of course, it's oversimplified). Individually, Russian people are usually quite nice. Collectively, they tend to adopt an attitude of domination and even an imperialist mindset. -

I never used agents either - but, when I was staying here before getting married, I also didn't go one of the most difficult consulates for tourist-visas, then enter to the 2nd-worst entry-point in terms of likelihood of success. If, today, I had to enter at that entry-point, in your shoes, for some reason, I would have avoided the whole tourist-visa part, and saved money by using this for a 1-day visa-exempt bounce: -

I did the CM -Maesai border bounce every 15 days for years , used to go out drinking and go straight to the bus station at 6 AM and up to Maesai and back home by the evening , every 15 days for 3 years -

Thai Wife Issues in the UK
It is definitely time to move on, relationships are very organic things, they grow, they evolve or they devolve. When one to the point of where your relationship is there's just no upside. At that point the woman just becomes an anchor around your ankles, and is bringing absolutely nothing to the table. Time to get a divorce, ASAP, move on, and find a an exquisite woman who has your back all the time, makes every day of your life a better day, and is really there for you. What should "paradise" be, according to your wishes, so that you would really feel unconditionally good in paradise? What would make "paradise" better than your life on earth? Hamburgers for free?
