November 22, 201411 yr i was thinking about booking 2 weeks in there in Feb i like the idea i can use there Hotel swiming pool if i want, i know where both are. Any info?
November 23, 201411 yr Expat Guest-House is for sale. It might be sold by February, so, no pool use. 4:49AM KB? You're either suffering from insomnia or not in the country. Everything is for sale in this country for the right price, last time I was by this place seemed quite ok and a pretty raucous group in the bar. Looked like they were having a lot of fun. Stumbling distance to Bangla, if thats the OP's thing, have at it ! Book away ! My guess is you'll have a good time.
November 23, 201411 yr ^^He's intending on staying at the guest house (near the fire station) not the hotel.

Slightly but are people referring to the Expat Hotel http://www.expathotel.com/index.html (on the same soi as the side entrance to Taipan) in this thread, or is there another establishment with a similar name that close to Bangla? Just curious because i have a passing acquaintanceship with the owner of the Expat hotel and used to stay there many many years ago.
November 23, 201411 yr The Expat people have 2 properties. 1) the Expat Hotel, close to Bangla and 2) the Expat Guesthouse up on Soi Firestation. 2 completely separate locations owned by the same people. The OP refers to the guesthouse which is apparently up for sale.
