krummi
I have come across several shops refusing to accept Satang. This morning I was at the airport and wanted to change THB into USD at a well known bank. I gave 2 THB in Satang coins. They refused to take them. As far as I know, Satang coins are legal tender. Can shops and especially banks refuse them?

Popular Post SheungWan
Stick them in the charity collection points if you are at the airport or spend them at the 7-11.

Squeegee
It's a 10thb motorcy ride down my Soi so I'll often tip an extra 1 or 2 baht. Any 25/50 satangs and even 7/11 vouchers are worth a laugh with the surprised driver. I'll even dump them on street food venders. It can be fun if done in the right spirit. happynthailand
take them to the service counter in marko, they will count them for you then they bring them to the check out lane your in.then use them to pay for your bill you have to have quite a few(any coins) wife changes coins all the time in Marko as she gets a lot on coins in her shop, the banks charge a fee for counting coins wife saves the coins until she has a couple thousand or more Edited November 25, 2014 by happynthailand
Gringogazzer
Give them to the wife & tell her they're so she won't go hungry when you die. A good test of her humour & mood of the day.
