Wholesale produce where do merchants buy their Produce & fruits?

Featured Replies

Where does the local merchants purchase there inventory? Surely not where the Tourist tend to go! Any insight would be most appreciated! Location please in Pattaya.

If you mean restaurants and hotels, many go to Makro.

Many shops buy their beer, wine, spirits etc. from a variety of places all over town, most of which are marginally cheaper than even Makro, the places where you will see stacks of boxes of beer piled high, the key to getting an even better price from them is ask what the re-sale price should be - they will view you as a shopkeeper and often give you a better deal as well as the odd freebie - bottle opener, beer condom, glass etc.

Post acting as grammar police removed. Note this forum netiquette point ...

3. If possible please proofread your post first, poor grammar and spelling can make the post difficult to understand. However be aware that not every member is a native english speaker and excessive posts regarding others spelling and grammar not only hijacks the topic but is poor netiquette.

For fruits, veg and meat, many go to Wat Chai market, on Pattaya Tai, between Tukcom and Second Road. Some even journey to the big market in Nakleua. A good one is my local big market, at the railway crossing on Nern Plub Wan. There are numerous smaller markets around town, including Num Chai on Buakhao at soi 19. Across the street down an alley is another slightly bigger market.

There is no big wholesale market as in the west.
