Monkey runs into burning house in Chonburi province to rescue his goose friend

Featured Replies

Originally I did not buy this and it's still spec by the owner but let me just chalk this one up as a touching story and leave my cynical thinking for another day. BTW, the images are not graphic but still sad crying.gif

Twenty years ago I saw monkeys 'being trained' to harvest coconuts. They were sent up a tree and when they arrived at the top the owner threw a few rocks at them and monkeys tore of the coconuts and hurled them back at their antagonist. TIT.

There is, or at least was when I was there a number of years ago, a special school for monkeys in Kanchanaburi, training them to harvest the coconuts, even determining which are ripe for twisting off and which should be left. Of course, part of the school was for circus type tricks, with them "playing basketball" but the most important part of the school was actually agricultural. The training was fascinating, and I had an instructor show me the full extent of it, as no one was there for the circus act at the time, and that didn't interest me at all.

Don't know if the school is still there or not, but it was across the river from the bridge, and a bit downstream. Sorry, can't remember any further details.

the house was clearly not earthed, an unnecessary animal kill. sad.png

Cheap skate, a 80b earth would have saved his house.
