Losed password for dongle

Featured Replies

I had my bag stolen a few months ago and in it was the password card with the pin number for my dongle as all my devices where already logged in it wasn't a problem but I have had to buy a new lap top and log it in I have a problem I had a note of the password details but I haven't thought of the case size and put the letters in large case and that is not doing it this is my house internet as the dongle is my only connection is there anything I can do with it?

Dongles don't have passwords. Do you mean for the SIM...or are you referring to something else?

Perhaps you can try to describe the situation with more clarity.

Jiu-Jitsu and I were typing at the same time. Same Same.

Dongles, at least the 3G or LTE devices that plug into a USB Port, don't have pin numbers.

Are you talking about a WiFi password?

I said pin I meant password to connect .

It's plugged in to house socket as house Wi-Fi I have been in touch with supplier and I need to get another one .Thanks for replying

I hope the supplier can help you. Though, if the other devices in the house are connecting ...why would you need another one (replacement)?

It would help us alot if you got the name and description of device.

From what you've supplied so far the device could be anything from a DSL Router, 3G Router, WiNet wireless Internet Router, or some type of WiFi Router. I'm only guessing 'Router' as you've described connecting many devices to it.

If it is a router, and you actually own it, you should be able to do a reset and resupply all the setup information, including a new WiFi Password. Though I would only suggest doing so if you know or have access to the required information to complete the reset/setup process.

Thanks for reply I have a new wi.-fi dongle now what I have is a monthly pay dongle that brings the internet to you you plug it in wall socket to charge you just take it with you as mobile Wi-Fi. Internet sorry that is the only way I can describe it ther is know information on the device.

But as I say I have new one and have saved the password in various locations.

Yea, not called a dongle.

The manufacturers like to trademark the names so there's no uniform name to call all the similar devices.

Generally, if it's small, connects to 3G/4G/LTE Mobile Data and you connect to it via WiFi, then it can be a:

3G/4G/LTE Portable Personal Pocket Mobile MyFi WiFi Hotspot (or some combo of these words)

Portable WiFi Hotspot

Pocket WiFi Hotspot

Personal WiFi Hotspot

Mobile WiFi Hotspot

Portable Personal Pocket WiFi Hotspot

Anywho, glad you got your connection sorted.
