Asked the official and he reluctantly explained that they charge 0.5% of the car's value as sold. Sounds reasonable until you realize my car's value was about 300,000 (as stated on the insurance certificate), but he wrote it down as 400,000, so a nice 500THB backhander for him, hence no printed or stated fees on the web site!
