Teen plunges from overpass, possibly hit by car, survives

BANGKOK: -- A 15-year-old plunges from an overpass and into oncoming traffic, in a video posted yesterday of the nightmare incident. Despite appearing impossible to survive, don’t worry it’s not a snuff video: he survived the insane fall.

Yutthana Lanepok is recovering from injury after a motorcycle accident sent him over the guardrail of an overpass in Ratchaburi province in a difficult-to-watch plunge into a busy road.

Although it can’t be concluded from the video, it appears that upon striking the pavement, an approaching car runs over Yutthana before driving away, however his rescuer said Yutthana was not struck by the vehicle.

It seams it was not his day to die....

Wish him a speedy recovery

Very lucky S.O.B

They say the car did not hit him, watch the video, see were he lands and were he is after the car passes. The car had to of made some kind of contact with him.

Exactly what I thought! At least one car and one motorcycle didn't stop although they had a clear view.

<deleted>!

Man plunges from the skies to the pavement.

No one stops.

Lovely example of Thainess. wai2.gifwai.gif

BTW, the first car lifts up.

It did run over him.

Driving away from the scene of an accident, running over somebody and not giving a shit? I hope they have that car's reg plate and throw the bloody book at the bastard!

As for the accident itself... he's very lucky. No shoes, no helmet - young bones hey! Speedy recovery, and I hope next time you get on a bike you have learnt something from this - BUT, I doubt it!!

survives

More good news! Happiness truly has returned.

Was he fined for not wearing a helmet?

He should make amulets from his plaster casts when they come off...he'll make a fortune...

This guy should conceder a future as a stuntman....

Some good news! Wow! thumbsup.gif Most of us have had some close calls, and can sympathize and be happy for Superman.

Amazing!!

first thing you learn here, don't get involved, if you are a farang it can take only 10 minutes and you were to blame.

I've seen young Thai students, 9 or 10 years old do somersaults in the air and land on cold hard concrete bare footed.

They are like cats, bloody amazing! Great story in comparison to the other sad stories in our region the last couple of days.

Lucky kid! Great video to post on his FB site and get some fans!

That's just nuts! I hope he learned his lesson. I'm sure he won't be THAT lucky next time! wai2.gif

Now 3 things:

1) Yes the car did override him, at least partly. We can clearly see the cars body moving up as driving over something.

2) How come nobody stops his car to offer assistance??? This is something I really HATE here. As long as it is not their own son or daughter there seems to be indifference. I would stop my car in the middle of the road to ensure the victim is protected from further harm and I would immediately go to assist. That is just normal and human. Not assisting is disgusting in terms of behavior. And saying that you should not help because they might blame you is not the right attitude neither.

3) The Police should catch, fine or imprison those who do not assist a person in danger. And the driver of the car who carried on should get an even bigger punishment.

In his former life, he was a "Moon Diamond" วิเชียรมาศ, i.e. "Siamese Cat", 555

Asking for the eviction of some HIV patients. Not stopping to help an accident victim - or at least call the emergency services. Not giving way for emergency vehicles in operation. The real faces of Thainess?

We all learned that but ask your God... Let someone die on the pavement? As you are probably from a developed country you must have learned that every second counts in saving someones life. Your Karma (and his life) will be much better if you save his life instead of let him die in front of your eyes.

Dont be a Coward.

One should always help..! A better world starts with yourself.

When I read the headline...I immediately thought...damn...poor kid, but what it really is, this teen is ONE DAMN LUCK Individual! Merry Christmas for the rest of your life with this gift. Had an accident above that bolted him over the overpass and into traffic where he then gets run over and survives. Talking about using up your nine lives (if he was a cat).

And yes, you can tell he was run over by the car...where he lands and where he ends up after the car passes. Furthermore, the car was driving slow, but in any case, you can see the cars right hand side...it looks like it's driving over bumps.

Anyhow...this teen couldn't have gotten a better gift for Christmas!

And it just happens that in a split second somebody was able to make the photo.

bulll. Coconuts.....

This speeding "dek van" was lucky, didn't died despite HE WAS HIT by the car, and didn't use helmet.

I'm a bit surprised no-one stopped, they always stop, ............... to make a bloody pictures or videos for social media.

Was he fined for not wearing a helmet?

According to the report I read 15 years old and no licence either. Will he learn from his lucky escape?

And it just happens that in a split second somebody was able to make the photo.

Seriously? It's a frame grab from a CCTV video, go to the OP link.

They say the car did not hit him, watch the video, see were he lands and were he is after the car passes. The car had to of made some kind of contact with him.

and there was a camera man just standing there ready to take an instant picture (video)------ Amazing

Sadly, that would seem to be a classic example of "Thainess" on the roads.

Certainly appears that at least one vehicle RAN OVER him and simply drove on. How pathetic!
