ubonrthai Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I'm looking to try some new restaurants in Ubon and thought it might be helpful to share some of our favorites. Use the following format to make it easy to follow the thread. 1. Restaurant Name 2. Type of Food 3. Location using GPS coordinates and/or a link to the exact spot. 4. Price range 5. Any web site about the restaurant 6. Why it's good. Any other info about the place.
ubonrthai Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) 1. Guay Jab Chow Wang ก๋วยจั๊บชาววัง 2. Guay Jab noodle soup 3. 15°14'16.36"N, 104°51'12.44"E 4. Around 40b 5. Some pictures. 6. I've had guay jab many places around Ubon but this is my favorite. P'Wanlope is the skinny guy running around serving and taking orders and just meeting him will make you want to come back. I recommend trying "guay jab moo dang." It's the guay jab soup with round seasoned pork balls. Edited December 18, 2014 by ubonrthai
Seligne2 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 May I suggest you just go to https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Ubon_Ratchathani#Eat and enter your restaurants there? Much easier to retrieve later and available to all.
bergen Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 May I also suggest you tell the location/adress. Not everyone runs around with a gps, or have good internet connection..... 1
ubonrthai Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 1. Suki Udon สุกี้อุดร 2. Cooked to order. Almost any Thai food you can think of that can be cooked in a wok. อาหารตามสั่ง 3. 15°16'22.51"N, 104°50'38.11"E 4. Around 40b 5. Facebook page. 6. This place is very popular. It's just an older couple with 2 woks in front of a small shop. You can eat inside but this is a better take-away restaurant. They open sometime around 7 for people buying food to take to work and close at around 7 at night.
SantiSuk Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Not another ubon restaurant thread, surely? There was one only two weeks ago! 1
ubonrthai Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 May I also suggest you tell the location/adress. Not everyone runs around with a gps, or have good internet connection..... I did suggest a link. You can easily find a place on google maps and just link it. If someone knows how to post on ThaiVisa, I'm guessing they can link a location. I spend way too much time trying to find places 3 trees past the 5th house on the left.
ubonrthai Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 Not another ubon restaurant thread, surely? There was one only two weeks ago! There was here. That was specifically looking for an air conditioned Thai restaurant. I'm looking for anything and attempting to organize it better. 1
