Well, in the case of female contestants there wasn't much to choose from. Who else was on the list? The minister who had the grand idea to tag all tourists?

Poor old Abhisit, I bet he wishes they would stop including him in these polls, it must be so demoralising to lose by so much so consistently. Retire already loserman.

I would imagine that Yingluck would get a similar demoralising result if the poll was taken down south. Would you be telling her to retire too?

No, we're telling her to retire now. Hat Yai is not a province, and the instructions on a written speech should not be spoken, especially not in front of delegates from countries around the world. "Thank you three times". Duh!

Yingluck and the General, two bumbling morons who don't have a clue how to run a country!

At least one was good to look at!

I suppose the bumbling morons in your country are quite capable of performing their duties.

Guess news of the rice scam Yingluck presided over has not reached Isan yet......

Yeah, cause that's the only scam that a politician has ever committed in this country. Not excusing it but people seem to forget the billions that the military have and continue to scam for their own pockets.

Am fully aware of that. That is the history of Thailand. However the rice scam was

somewhat notable for the mind boggling numbers for the money that was " lost ".....

You should look up scam in the dick. There was never a scam. It was a poor policy decision that lost money. Happens all the time in business. No matter how hard they tried they could not find corruption in that programme. In fact during the asset evaluation of yingluck at the end of her term.it showed that her assets had gone down since her term began.

But you've got to bear in mind that the voters in Isaan make up the backbone of the electorate.

Those voters in the south, there's not that many of them. That's why, if your support is in the south, but not many in Isaan are cheering you on, well, you can't win an election. You're unlikely to win an election in Thailand if you fail to take Isaan.

There's 8,900,000 Thais in the South.

Thinking about it they couldn't have published an Article with just Yingluck as outstanding leader , so theyve watered it down a bit by lying through their teeth

You are aware that there are multiple on-going investigations into the rice scam, yes?

None have been completed as yet, so they are still in the process of finding out just how much corruption and malfeasance there was in Yingluck's rice scam.

The investigators are hardly impartial. What you should have said is that there is an ongoing unsuccessful witch hunt for corruption in the previous governments rice subsidy scheme by persons and institutions who are searching for justification for their illegal overthrow of democracy and continued denial of freedom and human rights to the citizens of Thailand.

And there is 30 million in the north / north east. That's nearly 4 times the population of the south.

Why do investigators need to be impartial?

Judges need to be impartial. Investigators don't.

Idiotic. Would you see any problem in letting the owner of the AC Bar on Koh Tao be the lead investigator of the double murder that occurred down there? Absolutely idiotic statement that investigators don't need to be impartial. Idiotic.

Why does he always look like a Thai screwed up spitting image of George W. Bush?

"What's going on? Somebody tell me please?" kind of look.

Fish out of water? More like a dry salmon that's been in the rocks under hot sun for 35 minutes.

She looks so serene and he looks constipated and confused. At least W. had that little smirk and knew how to have a good time.

Serene - expressionless more like. Must have forgotten to read the script again before that photo.

Nothing between the ears, so much money and a care in the world - bless.

You can get any answer you want if you ask the right questions. Who would be the most authoritative male leader in Thailand? a: mickey mouse, b: donald duck, c: gen Prayut.

Anyway, I'm sure it was meant to be "astounding" and not "outstanding".

Yes, it would be absolutely idiotic for the owner to be the lead investigator. That would be a conflict of interest.

Do you think a defendant's investigator would be impartial? No. They would be doing all they could to get a defendant off. A prosecutor's investigator would trying to find the defendant guilty.

"Conflict of interest" is very different "not being impartial".

"conflict of interest" can cause people to be biased i.e. the opposite of impartial. What is wrong with people with a conflict of interest being investigators???? Could it be that they would not investigate the case on an impartial basis but instead lie, disregard or fabricate evidence and generally be dishonest for their own benefit? You should quit while you're behind.

As I said, they shouldn't have a conflict of interest. Not being impartial doesn't mean that you fabricate evidence or are dishonest.

And so I continue to bash my head against a wall.

impartial
adj
1. not prejudiced towards or against any particular side or party; fair; unbiased

If an investigator is not impartial then he will not treat the facts without prejudice, he will not be fair and he will not be unbiased. Investigators should be impartial if their findings are to have any value - only a pinhead could think otherwise.

If the investigators looking into the rice scheme are not impartial they will, at the very least, be tempted to fabricate or exaggerate evidence that implicates Yingluck and they will, at the very least, be tempted to disregard or dismiss evidence that exonerates Yingluck.

How can any honest and reasonable individual take their findings as credible - it is impossible.

Investigators must be impartial. It is black and white.
