Criminal Court acquits Kasit accused of defaming Thaksin

Featured Replies

It is beyond me, how can the court even consider taking a case filed by a fugitive on the run from the law??

Who's law?

Kind of hard for Thak to win a case here when he cant be present to testify

You are either a master of sarcasm or a gifted comic genius. clap2.gif

Who said he can't?

The actual PM knows this, doesn't he?

Oh, maybe not. Or why is he threatening to ban a newspaper that wrote something "not pleasant" about him?

He is not threatening to ban a newspaper. If he was a bad scary military junta leader he would simply close the station down or have everyone arrested.

You know what he did? He lodged a complaint with the press association against the newspaper.

Kinda like any law abiding citizen would do.

djjamie, you are so sweet, when you show your naive side!!

Below a quote from the PM today!!

>>But I don't know what to do, as I will be criticised tomorrow for saying this. But this time I'm really going to shut down this paper, because it will continue to creep on me if I let it go... What's the point of martial law then? We have it to ensure peace and constructively," he said.<<

There is none so blind as those who will not see.............................coffee1.gif

That is interesting. I will also ignore your condescension with the "so sweet" and "naive" jib. It is a typical response that I have learnt to deal with from people that are frustrated by my comments and are not able to articulate an appropriate response.

When Prayut promises a lot of things he is tagged as "the guy that always makes promises yet never delivers". But when he promises to shut down a paper then this is believed as gospel. So does he follow through on his promises or not?

I agree he is a bit eccentric now and is definitely not a groomed speaker that can deal with journalists. He is far from that.

He is also lodging a complaint against this paper.

Lets wait and see what eventuates maybe before processing what we think will happen.

I for one think the paper will not be shut down and the complaint will be lodged. I look forward continuing this conversation when we know what approach the most popular PM in the last decade decides. And rest assured I will not makes excuses if he does shut down the paper just as I am confident you will eat humble pie if he doesn't.
