December 26, 201411 yr Recently i oredered several items onineI made my payments by a visa card. I was already surprised that they did not make any check if i was the legal user of the card. The store made mistake after mistake and now i end up with a not returnable product aldo it is their mistake.I consulted my bank (Kasikorn) and they let me know that they have many problems with payments to this storeThe way they handle orders is illegal they told me, because they dont make a check by safetynumber or password.Contacting them is almost impossible. They dont replay. Finally i found a helpdesk number, but the woman there just could replay by their protocol. Asking to talk with somebody of the management took 15 minutes to hear a no.As for this reathen i have to ask my bank for a new account because anybody who can lay his hand on my card can order at tis store untill my card is empty. Is there anybody who has this same experience, and is there anybody who can advice me what to do against their illegal way of doing bussiness? Thanks for replaying.
December 26, 201411 yr no it is not illegal to book without checking. The risk is with the store They don't check...everyone can order with your card: right. You get the bill, you tell you didn't order. The store must proof that it was you (for example the shipping address is yours and you signed for it). If not the money get refunded and the store has to pay it. But I got a product sent by this store which was already used....lets see how the return works out....

December 26, 201411 yr Why didnt you just pay cash on delivery? I did and never had a problem with them to be honest

Correct, there's nothing illegal about charging a credit card without also getting the CVV2 number - it's just stupid, because it makes the process of a lodging charge-back claim by the OP all that much easier. I guess the operator the OP talked to just had limited English skills. @OP: for any of these transactions where they do not supply the goods, simply contact your bank and request a charge-back. They will then usually give the vendor a week to counter-claim & prove the goods were supplied - and if they weren't you'll have your money refunded by your bank, and there's no need to go through any hassles with the vendor. For the sake of clarity: If they have only processed transactions as a result of you committing to them, They have not done anything illegal. However, if you claim a charge-back for transactions you did agree to, you would be doing something illegal (fraud)... Edited December 26, 201411 yr by IMHO
December 27, 201411 yr I only ever pay cash on delivery with Lazada. I would never be happy with them having my credit card details and if the product isn't right i don't pay. Edited December 27, 201411 yr by chris2004
December 27, 201411 yr Author Why didnt you just pay cash on delivery? I did and never had a problem with them to be honest To pay cash on delivery you have to be at home whole day. You probably think: the delivery company calls you. For the last two deliverys they did not call, <deleted> let them know to call before delivery because the order had to be cancelled. They even give me the impression they did this delibrary because the order was paid already.

For the last two deliverys they did not call, aldo Lazada let them know to call before delivery because the order had to be cancelled. I see, well I just got mine delivered to my wifes mums house, but if you put on the order to drop it off at your neighbors you should be safe.
December 29, 201411 yr Not surprising to hear those complaints. In my previous company we were hired by them to implement a small IT system. I visited their offices and was shocked to see and learn how they worked. They have almost a whole floor full of people just to chase the vendors, update the stocks, manage the shipping, etc. Most things are still done manually on Excel files! And they even have to manually export data from one system and imports it manually to another. It is a complete mess, specially for a technology startup founded company...
