The same can be said for the Han Chinese, of course, and maybe even more so. One can choose one's culture. However, once cannot choose to not be human. Some cultures are better than others, or can be shown to be more resilient than others, as you have correctly stated. I reserve the right to choose the cultures that I prefer. Just as an example, I would say that I am not totally enamored with PNG culture, because, otherwise, I would move to Papua New Guinea.
