WitawatWatawit
That's a chicken-or-egg one. My money is on the Moros as they've been around a long time. I'll bet they've also never heard of the other "meaning" .

johnnycthedog
What does MIFL mean anyway? I used to work in a Government department in South Australia (SA) Australia. One of the duties was to collect outstanding debt in both SA and the Northern Territory (NT). It was mooted at one time to have the two divided - Collection Unit (SA) and Collection Unit (NT). The acronym was - CU(SA) and CU(NT). Once this was looked at the penny dropped and the name was never used. This is a true story.
ozyjon
In Australia, participation and interest in everything to do with the government has been on a downhill slide for a long time so the spin merchants got together and decided the political parties needed to re-brand themselves to appeal to a younger audience, this was agreed to so the Liberal party re-branded themselves to be ''The Young Libs'' the Labor party decided to re-brand themselves as ''The Young Labs'' the Country party have not replied.

lungbing
I used to work for a company called GEC-Plessey Telecomms, or GPT. The French subsidiary was called GP Telecomm because the letters GPT pronounced in French roughly as Jay Pay Tay sounds like the French phrase meaning "I have farted"
