Doing the 2-fer (Immigration and Revenue Office)

Featured Replies

Just for fun, today i set out to do two errands on one trip. First stop was the Jomtien Royal Immigration Office to do my 90 day Reporting about the 9:00 AM hour. No problem getting the Baht Bus to Soi 5 even with it being a Soi Buakhao Market Day. The Immigration Office was a mad house, the busiest I've seen it in my 8+ years going in that direction. The guy at the Reporting Day desk was doing three report at a time, so I was in and out in a jiffy. Next stop, the Revenue Office just around the corner to apply for my tax refund on the tax the Thai govt. took from the interest I earned on my 800, 000 baht seed money I have at the Siam Commercial Bank for my retirement visa. No problems at the Revenue Office...not anyone in sight except for the kind lady at the information desk who filled in my tax form and sent it on to the collection folks who told me that a check would be mailed back to my condo in three months time....maybe.....with a smile. coffee1.gif We shall see, last year I had to go back and ask about my refund check as they failed to sent one out to me. Back to the Baht Bus and on to Soi Buakhao by about 10 PM.

All in all not a bad outing and with some hopefully good results. clap2.gif

Just a sidebar, my next reporting date is the first week in April, so dodged the Songkran bullet once again....can't imagine the nightmare that must be trying to head to the Immigration during all the water fights here in Pattaya and Jomtien....w00t.gif
