Finding deceased relatives estate

Featured Replies

My father passed in Thailand on the 29th October. I came out to Thailand shortly after and held the funeral etc. While I was there I hired a lawyer to help deal with his estate (money in the bank). I am his next of kin and the money will be released to me. Unfortunately I can only find half of his money in 4 local bank accounts. Talking to family and friends we believe he may of had a trading account of a saving account in a bank in Bangkok as apparently he was getting a good rate there. Can anyone give me some advice on how I can find any other accounts he may of held? I have tried calling various banks in Bangkok but they all state they cannot tell me any information about account holders over the phone. I am due back at some point this month to do a court appearance and get power of attorney so the money we have tracked will be released to me.

You will need to go to each banks main office with power of attorney and or death certificate . Hopefully they will be very helpful to you.
