lassebasse
Who is supposed to be allowed to park in these special disabled parking spaces. I am not thinking about rich people in supercars but those who really are disabled. In my homecountry, Sweden, one would go to the Social services and apply for a permit and they would give you a special sticker to put in your car to show that you are allowed to park in the special disabled parking zones. Is there a simular system in Thailand and where would you go in that case.
krisb
You should try getting a disabled park at the special olympics.

IMHO
Disabled parking zones are normally only seen in carparks of international companies here (e.g. Tesco). In comparison to the West, not many able-bodied people drive cars, let alone disabled people - who in Thailand probably wouldn't have gotten handouts/payouts big enough to buy a car and modify it. In Thailand there's no need for windscreen stickers, as disabled parking is always close to the doors and therefore security guards, and they can easily asses whether you should be there or not. They'll probably assist you with loading and unloading too - if you're disabled Edited January 10, 2015 by IMHO
