CobraSnakeNecktie
I was trying to get a few bottles of supplements shipped from the states to me here in Thailand and the UPS people told my family that you can't send them because of Thai laws. Does anybody know about this?

Does anybody know about this? Before you consider shipping anything via companies such as UPS you may or may not know that on arrival at Thai customs UPS will pay whatever duty is demanded of them and hand the bill straight to you, end of story, whether or not there is any legitimate reasoning behind the bill you will have no recourse to reason, just pay up. CobraSnakeNecktie
Excellent advice.Try to avoid UPS type companies to avoid unreasonable taxes. okay that's helpful but how should I ship it? I found a courier in BKK that will do it from LA and handle customs fee's and getting it to CM for 3000 baht total. base weight is 1.5 kg. another person said just seal it up and send registered air mail any recommendations? sbk
Since this is not Chiang Mai related this may not be the appropriate forum for you questions. I feel you will get a better response elsewhere so will move the topic.

All I can say is that I've done it registered air mail several times with no problem and no additional taxes.
