Living in Thailand with an Australian Aged Pension

Featured Replies

Good Morning. Can any Australians over the age of 65 who have retired in Thailand give me a heads up how the Australian Government have handled their Aged Pension?

All was fine then I legally married a Thai lady & as required told Centrelink of my change of situation and as my wife is of working age they reduced my old age pension by $154 per fortnight.

We all find out the same thing - there's no free lunch, when you marry a lovely Thai lady ( and her familygiggle.gif )..

I am sorry to hear that. Would you tell me how long you have been living in Thailand?
