600,000 Baht Armed Robbery from coach at East Pattaya Car Park

PATTAYA: -- Three men were tied up and left inside a parked coach in East Pattaya late on Monday Night and gold worth an estimated 600,000 Baht was stolen from them, before the two armed robbers fled the scene, in what Police describe as a planned robbery.

The incident occurred at a car park of a condominium located off the Sukhumvit Road in East Pattaya where a coach, belonging to The Transport Company, based in Bangkok, had parked. They intended to pick-up a group of tourists later in the night and return them to Bangkok.

Inside the coach at the time of the robbery was the main driver, Khun Todsapon aged 46, relief driver, Khun Tanapon aged 43 and a passenger Khun Surasit aged 22. Two assailants wearing balaclavas exited a Black Isuzu DMAX pick-up which had parked in the car park.

Both were carrying guns and forced the men to hand over gold necklaces and Buddhist Amulets in their possession, before their hands were bound together using cable ties which were then attached to the rear seats of the coach.

The suspects then left in the direction of the Sukhumvit Road and Police were able to follow some of their journey on security cameras positioned on the Sukhumvit Road.

The way I read that the driver had recently been robbed, but they didn't get everything, and he decided to take the rest with him to work where he guessed it would be safe!

Ooops, thieves figured on that and knew his routine.

Good luck amulets, particularly valuable ones, appear not to work.

I know the pointing has been commented on but I wanted to mention that since the debacle of the stabbing ex-muay Thai boxer yesterday, its nice to see a return to form.

The Pattaya one photographer yesterday was probably an arts graduate being experimental.

A one off that hopefully wont be repeated.wai.gif

Yeah that's the coach, double pointing.

yes , thats the door of a bus ......

Maybe the guy pointing in the foreground sustained a head injury? He seems to be missing the bus with his pointing. He should be checked out by a doctor.
