Yesterday someone began a discussion about orange juice, and is often the case, a number of people weighed in with their opinions. Shortly thereafter a moderator shut it down because in his/her words, while nice, it had nothing to do with Thailand.

While that particular subject was nothing to get excited about, I am confused. I often see discussions that are non-Thailand related. Why was this one out of bounds?

I often see topics closed for no good reason.

Just a whim of those in power is all it seems to take.

I don't think topic that do not break the rules should be closed.

But...the orange juice topic had been beat to death I think.
