Far-right activist Tommy Robinson has triggered fresh controversy after travelling to Moscow, meeting Elon Musk's father, Errol Musk, and declaring that "Russia is not the enemy of Britain". The visit quickly drew attention after Robinson shared a video apparently filmed in a Moscow hotel alongside Errol Musk. In the clip, Robinson can be heard saying: "We are going to go and cause some trouble." His visit also comes against the backdrop of a long-running relationship between Robinson and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk. Elon Musk has previously expressed support for Robinson, and both men have called for people to take to the streets following the knife attack in Belfast. The Belfast incident prompted a wave of online activity from Robinson. Sharing details of demonstrations that were said to be taking place at 7pm on Tuesday, Robinson posted: "The whole of the United Kingdom is hitting the streets tonight at 7pm following yet another invader attack on our people." That message added further attention to his public campaigning and online presence. The latest focus, however, shifted from Britain to Russia after Robinson surfaced in Moscow alongside Errol Musk. The appearance of Elon Musk's father in the video added another layer of intrigue to the visit. According to reports, Errol Musk attended the annual Kremlin-backed economic forum last week. The forum is one of Russia's highest-profile international events and regularly attracts business and political figures. Robinson's own explanation for the trip quickly became one of the most talked-about aspects of the visit. Speaking to The Guardian, he outlined what he said were his reasons for travelling to the Russian capital. "I've come to see how this country got itself so well on to the straight and narrow and see the beauty of a civilised society here," Robinson said. He also challenged perceptions of Russia's relationship with Britain. "Russia is not the enemy of Britain. That narrative has long since died a natural death," he said. Robinson went further, claiming that some people continue to benefit from portraying Russia as an adversary. "There are those who benefit from pushing Russia as an enemy but everyone laughs at those people now," he added. The comments are likely to fuel further discussion among supporters and critics alike. His remarks about Russia, combined with his appearance alongside Errol Musk, have ensured the trip has attracted widespread attention.
