where to suggest a friend visit in Thailand when you have no suggestions

Featured Replies

Had exactly the same problem a few months ago - friends visiting who wanted to see both the famous stuff but were also interested in looking behind the scenes, so to say. Was trying to put together a list of stuff but couldn't really be bothered.

Found a small group of people who have walks and tours that are focused on exactly that. Thought this would be easier & contacted them. Friendly bunch. Did three tours in the end: 2 in Bangkok - 1 famous places and 1 off the beaten path through Chinatown (madness but good fun - never knew of all the weird places here), and 1 to the provinces (Ang Thong + Ayutthaya + Bang Pa-In). Bottom line, friends loved it and I realised there is much to be discovered. Well recommended!!!

Edit: Just reread that. Not associated with them in any way. Just FYI wink.png

Could be talking to the wrong people, as mentioned several times in this thread. He'll be missing out on some of the best places to visit in Asia. No biggie, his loss.
