Hi, my situation is I'm a duel citizen with two passports and married to a Thai national. My marriage certificate says that my wife married a Canadian national. Now I dont use my Canadian passport anymore as it expierd as I currently only use my valid Australian passport. My wife and I visited Pattaya immigration recently as I wanted to ask the boss lady who is in charge for the extension of stays based on marriage about my Thai marriage certificate that has my other nationality on it. She says no problem what so ever when it comes to extending the visa with my current passport and my marriage certificate. She did say she needs another form of ID from me such as a copy of my birth certificate which I found odd but since I have it is shouldn't be a problem

My question is would the Thai embassy refuse issuing me the non O visa based on reviewing my marriage certificate that states my other nationality on it? I have all the documents in order such as the Thai wife ID and house papers that's needed.

You will not have a problem getting a non-o visa because your marriage certificate shows a different nationality than the passport you are using. You name matching is all that really matters.

There should also be no questions asked at immigration either.

Thanks, do you know if I can apply for the extension of stay as soon as I have my single entry non O as I rather extend it as soon as possible and get it over with rather then waiting the full 60 days then applying for an extension of stay based on marriage and is it 2 or 3 month for the 400,000bht to be in your bank account for a first time extension at Pattaya immigration?

You can only apply for a extension of stay during the last 30 days of your 90 day entry from the non-o visa.

Jomtien goes by the rules and only requires the 400k baht be in the bank for 60 days for all extension of stay based upon marriage.
