FolkGuitar
Yesterday I was up on Doi Suthep, just taking a ride. I rode past the temple and up to Doi Pui, then stopped at the Hmong village for something to drink. I was headed back down, when I had to pull to the side of the road to let an odd-looking car pass me on it's way towards the Hmong Village. It was the Google Map Street View Camera Car! I guess it was mapping out the road up from Chiang Mai. Perhaps this will also mean that the Chiang Mai street view is going to be updated in general, a good thing with all the changes over the last few years. Interesting looking vehicle... I didn't have my camera out at the time or I would have take a shot of it, but there was no mistaking it. It looked just like this:
LivinLOS
Its like painting a bridge.. Its a constant ongoing process..
elektrified
Their office is in Hillside 4 (at least it used to be a few months ago). There are a couple of those cars in the underground lot, but the cameras are a little different.
invex
Wow, must be a never ending job, even for Chiang Mai. I see the car last December 20 th, 2014, in the Nonghoi area. That means that car is driving around Chiang Mai for 6 weeks at least.
WinnieTheKhwai
Hmm.. not sure this means updates. It's a massive undertaking to update it all, and that particular road down to the Hmong village currently isn't yet covered so it would make sense to go record just that section. FolkGuitar
Several areas around town have gotten a face lift on the maps. Good to see! It's getting to the point where my Smart Phone now gives me more accurate GPS information than my $600 Garmin GPS device!

zziffle
I saw a here.com streetview car cruising up Huay Kaew the other day, so I guess they've got big plans to compete.
