davjensteph Posted February 2, 2015 Share Posted February 2, 2015 Hi I am going to uk for 7wks from 17th march,my motorcycle is due taxing 19th april what do I do as I am not returning to Thailand till 6th may...oh my car needs taxing 8th may can I renew my driving licenses at the same time or am I to early? thanks in advance for your comments... recom273 Posted February 3, 2015 Share Posted February 3, 2015 You can renew your licence 60 days before the date of expiry. ( this is for a one year to a five year, you don't mention what you currently hold ) I tried to waffle them into giving me a 5 year licence, by telling them that we were returning home for a few months. The answer was no - The computer won't allow it. Just repeat the test again when you get back, then receive another one year - temporary licence.
