New border crossing Uttaradit province

It seems that the border crossing at Phu Du in Uttaradit Province with Thailand has finaly been opened up for all nationalities, see annoucment here:

Not much information, but seems you can now already use the crossing.

For about two years there were already signs in Uttaradit showing the way to the International border.

I have been once to the national park there, camping. As far as I can remeber it is a good distance from Uttaradit town and the big higway, but the road was in good condition. Many Thai people visit the national park there for camping.
