my best visa option?

Featured Replies

I come in to thailand by air on 16th of September. On the 8th of October I fly to Myanmar. I come back to Thailand by air on the 6th op November and plan on leaving the country 2nd or 3rd of January (not longer than 60 days) over land to Cambodia or Laos.

What is my cheapest and/or easiest visa option?

Is it ,for example, possible to fly in on a visa on exempt (the free 30 days) the first time I arrive in Thailand. And the second time (November 6) make use of a single entry 60 days visa which I would get before I leave in the Netherlands? Or is that not possible to do?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Easiest, but not cheapest: double entry tourist visa.

"Overkill" for the first entry.

But the alternative: single entry and use it for second entry is a bit unsafe.

I remember mixed reports about explicitely not using a valid visa on entry.

Best is to get a double entry tourist visa in the Netherlands and travel worry free.

Technically you do not need a visa for your first entry, but than you will need to get one in Myanmar. Without it the airline can refuse you boarding. Normally that is not a problem within Asia, but not sure how strict they are in Myanmar.
