bringing money in

Featured Replies

Im applying for my first extension of stay, reason married to a Thai ( 8 years) Im on non o issued in the UK , do I need to show 400k has been BROUGHT into Thailand. (note I have enough money)

I say "brought in" as I already have more than this in my account for over 7 years in my Kasikorn bank.

The bank have issued me with a letter saying how much is in my account and the bank book update will also show this BUT I dont have anything to show I brought it in from the UK.

Or is it just a case they want to see 400k in my account for 2 months prior to application? ( i know its 3 months the second time)

Ta in advance

Their is no requirement to prove the funds came from abroad for an extension of stay.

You just need the 400k baht to be in an account in your name only for 2 months for all extensions based upon marriage.

There no 2/3 rule for extensions based upon marriage that is only for retirement extensions.
