Samui tourism has not been affected from the current political situation

The head of the Tourism Coordination Center on Samui Island, Mr. Pornlert Auncharoen (พรเลิศ อุ่นเจริญ), insisted that the current political situation does not affect on the number of travellers on the island.

He said that many tourists are still taking a trip to Samui Island although the news about Thailand’s political conflicts has been reported through the media.

He added that Samui will start publicize the activities being held on the island, aimed at luring more tourists to travel in Thailand.

Besides, Pa_ngan (พะงัน) and Samui tour operators will have a discussion with the tour operators from Indonesia to promote tourism on the two islands.
