Lite Beer Posted February 22, 2015 Author Share Posted February 22, 2015 Sukhothai Historical Park tackles badly behaved touristsBANGKOK, 22 February 2015 (NNT) - The Sukhothai Historical Park has stepped up measures against socially unacceptable behavior of tourists at the site. Signs have been put up to prohibit such conduct.Director of the Sukhothai Historic Park Nongkhran Suksom said the park had installed signs banning inappropriate behavior such as the signs prohibiting tourists from climbing up stupas, Buddha images, altars as well as all surrounding walls. The park officers had been instructed to always patrol the premises and warn badly behaved tourists.The director added that both Thai and foreign tourists visited the 700-year-old Sukhothai Historical Park all year round, especially in January.
