90-day reporting -- 7 days afterwards okay? (retirement visa)

Featured Replies

The Immigration Bureau instructions say,"The notification must be made within 15 days before or after 7 days the period of 90 days expires."

That means if I reach my 90 days of stay this Friday, I have until next Friday to go to Chaengwattana immigration to file the report? I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who's actually done this.

Also interested in what people have found are ideal times to arrive there so you don't get caught in long lines.

Thanks

Walking on thin ice, but I would recommend to go on Thursday at latest.

"7 days after" is the usual immi arithmetic (like in the 90 day report).

The nominal date is day "1" (Friday in your case).

So go on day "7", which is Thursday in your case.

You don't have to go to CW-road. 90 day reporting can be done at two other locations also:

1. Major Hollywood Suksa, 1st Floor , Suksawat Road, Ratburana, Bangkok

2. Imperial World Ladprao, 5 Floor , Ladprao Road, Wang Tong Lang, Bangkok

As said, do it on Thursday.

Why not do it online

Works only with Internet Explorer!!

That is not working yet. I have seen no reports of anybody getting a receipt for the report yet. Most people have not been able to get beyond the first page.

It will work in other browsers but you need to copy and paste the link into it. It will not work by just clinking the link.

Are either of those 2 alternative locations near the BTS or subway as the maps are in Thai.....

whistling.gif At Chaeng Wattana you can never be sure what are the best days to try to get sonething done.

However, i was there yesterday (25 February) and the queue was the shortest I have seen in a long time.

In general, although you can't be certain, Thursday is the least busy day ..... and a usually good choice to go.

You better be sure your 7th day doesn't fall on some holiday or you will be screwed.

Thank you everyone for those helpful replies.

Can anyone confirm from actual experience that indeed I can go file the 90-day report during the 7 days after I have reached the 90-day period? I only found accounts of people who did it before or on the 90th day, so I just wanted to make absolutely sure a few days afterwards is okay too.

And is it certain that we can still do the 90-day reporting at Imperial World location? I ask because I know it was a temporary location before Chaengwattana reopened after the street unrest.

Thanks again.

Further my post above, Immigration Bureau website lists only Chaengwattana for 90-day reporting for foreigners in Bangkok.

I have done a 90 day report several times after the report date. Once was on the 6th day.

There have been several reports of people doing reports at Suksawat and Lad Phrao. Most stating they done it in 10 minutes or less.

"From 2nd January, 2014, all foreigners residing in Bangkok will be able to provide their 90 days notification of residence at 2 additional offices, which are Immigration Service Center for 3 national Legalized Labors, Major Hollywood Suksawat and Imperial World Ladprao."

Depends which immigration office you go to,I went two days after the due date(5 days still left of the 7 days)and was made to pay 1000 bht,I protested, but to no avail.

In that case I doubt you got a receipt, which should tell you something. If you did got a receipt, I think you got fined for overstay and not for 90 day reporting.

Are you talking about a 90 day report while you are here on an existing extension of stay, or were you applying for an extension of stay two days after your permission to stay expired? Baht 1000 sounds like you paid for a two day overstay.

Baht 1000 sounds like you paid for a two day overstay.

So I would guess too.

The "price range" for late report starts at 2000 Baht upto 5000 Baht.
