Making your own exhaust hanger.

Featured Replies

Now Tyga sell Yoshimura ones for 700 baht or there abouts. But I enjoy, despite a complete lack of skills, knowledge or tools, getting intimate with my bikes and doing stuff myself.

So the idea of creating my own exhaust hanger has popped into being.

Some people with skills, knowledge and tools make their own out of aluminium sheeting. Drilling large fancy holes etc.

I plan to buy some of this stuff, and then screw them on.

Like this.

Though I'm pretty sure I can sand them off rounder and nicer than that first pic.

So anyone ever done it?

Yes, some guy with a blue Kawasaki.

It's called plumber's strap where I come from.

Go for it.

There ya go.

Plumber's Strap Google Images.

As you can see, it's used in very technical exhaust applications.

And can be used for many other interesting items.

You could sell 20 of them to a gogo on cowboy.

I've actually never seen the stuff. looks slightly more, shall we say, flexible than I imagined.

This guy seems to have managed it on his cbr250.
