February 28, 201511 yr I recently had a problem with my laptop - I dropped it onto a tiled floor, damaging the hard drive, A friend recommended I take it to Easycom, a small booth on the second floor of the Computer City Building at 326 Maninopparat Rd Chiangmai, run by a young man and his wife. Jukkrit Ampai did an great job of locating the best deals for a new hard drive, but also he helped me buy a new operating system and installed it, as well as retrieved most of my important files from the old hard drive (a very lengthy process, considering he drive was damaged) Not only that, but he installed some very useful anti virus software and basic word processing software. He was wonderful to work with and for the entire job including everything, he charged me 5700 baht (about $200) If you need to contact him ring 089 999 2679 I cannot recommend him more highly ...

February 28, 201511 yr Just as an add on I have used SK computer service to the right of Easycom for electrical repairs and MB repairs. Also very good at soldering jobs, plugs adapters, UPS battery etc. By the time we spend looking for bits and pieces easier to take it to him. Knows what he is doing and also reasonable prices. He doesn't speak English but picks up what you want. He has been there many years now. Also I have had good service with the JIB shop downstairs Also the printer repair and sales at the entrance. Like many things once you find a good place stick to them. Sadly parking there is becoming more difficult. Damn progress. PS We don't know how impotant our data is until we lose it ------- Backup !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edited February 28, 201511 yr by newcomer01
