Ok. Here is the story. There are several teachers leaving my school. They asked me about visa stuff.. Our boss is willing to cancel wp and extension of stay to suit them. Some are traveling before leaving Thailand and some are going to new jobs within Thailand. I think that they all need the letter from school stating cancellation of wp and extension on a certain date. Is this correct !

Also if they get this letter they need to go to local immigration and get ext cancelled, some immigration will postdate cancellation?

The ones staying in Thailand then need paperwork from new school to get non- B in Laos ( or other country)

Any thoughts or best procedures. Thanks

A work permit cancellation form is used to cancel it at the labor ministry office.

A letter from the school is needed to cancel the extension. At most offices you can go in to cancel it a couple of days before the termination date on the letter and they will date the cancellation for that date, If not a 7 day extension application can be made to get 7 days to leave the country.

The ones that plan on staying and working may not have to leave the country if the new school can apply for the work permit and get an approval letter for the application. Then with the letter from the old school and paper work from the new school and the work permit application approval letter they can apply for a new extension. The when the existing work permit is canceled they can get the new one issued.
