I'm thinking about moving to work at an international school in Bangkok, one of the better ones - ISB, Harrow, Patana, Shrewsburry and the like. Is the workload much the same as a teacher in the UK would get, aside from maybe extra-curricular stuff?

Any comments or advice would be appreciated.

Eh I've talked to a couple of friends who work at the better internationals, yes high expectations for quality of work and yes to the work being the same as back home. However, you get a fantastic work environment, a well regarded school on the CV, and salary/benefits comparable to back home. If you get the chance to work at one of those schools go for it.

If you are here already you will probably only get a local contract. Yo will get a lower salary with no benefits.Meanwhile you get to watch your colleagues on foreign contracts going on holidays to Switzerland, OZ ETC!!Only accept if you get the same benefits and salary as your colleagues. Thats if your fully qualified of course...
