Im looking to get myself something better than dial-up for Phuket island. I have looked around and havent been able to find anything with a decent speed or within an affordable price range.

I looked at the GPRS stuff and the overall true speed was about the same as dial-up, the only advantage to it would be not having to have a phone line.

I need something marginaly faster (128k will do) but (and heres the crunch) i need low ping counts, as the data i will send/recieve will be burst data. I need fast response times, the connection will be primarily for online gameing.

Anyone know of any offers or providers that might be able to help me at all? I would consider a restricted connection (i.e. x number of hours or xgb data transfer) but would prefer something without restrictions, oh and obviously needs to have international access.
