sumrit
Dave Mackay has died at the age of eighty' A Scottish international who was a vital member of Tottenham Hotspurs 1961 double winning side he was never one to shirk a tackle, as well as being an exceptionally good player he will probably be remembered by most of us growing up in the sixties as the original hard man and one of the bravest, who took no prisoners in the tackle. Always enjoyed watching him play. R.I.P.

petermik
Legend in his time watched him at Old Trafford many times his "tussles" with Denis Law allways a highlight-great Spurs footballing team but he was a gentleman also-I clearly remember a photo of him holding Billy Bremners collar with a look that said "do that again son if you dare" great days in the sixties for football not the mamby pamby overpaid/overrated game played today. phutoie2
George Best said he was the hardest player he ever played against. A fine player in that era, also not forgetting his success at Derby County. RIP.

Chicog
I think this is what is meant when a player is described as "No nonsense". RIP mate.
Chicog
An even better image of that day. Bremner didn't have the balls to go near him again.
